Sever Do Vouga receives the national competition “berries from Portugal”
The “Portugal from Portugal” competition aims to distinguish the product with fruits that get the largest consensus in the assessment of the jury, which consists of representatives of various entities linked to the agricultural sector, in the context of a blind test.

This event, which is elected the best grapes in Portugal in 2025, will be held at the Sever Do Vouga Municipal Library, on June 27.
In the blind test, the jury will classify the samples according to the consumer experience, taking into account the visual evaluation, the side (caliber, defects), color (the presence of printing, maturity), homogeneity, sensations taste, taste, texture, touch sensations, global beams and satisfaction.
In an organization from APM – the National Association of Perfumerry Producers, this second version of the competition again has support from the municipality of Sever Do Vouga and was merged into the activities program at the National Raspberry Exhibition, which runs from 27 to 29 June.
“This is an opportunity to get to know the merit of production and evaluate the berries produced in Portugal, which also contributes to spreading fruits and its importance in the Portuguese diet, and encouraging consumption and the option of fruits produced in Portugal.”
He also pointed out that “the new varieties of blue berries have a significant impact on the quality and consumer experience, but agricultural practices, care and professional approach to culture are decisive in relation to spinning grapes to be the most appreciated characteristics by consumers.”
Prizes will be awarded to the first three places, respectively from golden roots, silver blue and bronze. In addition to the prizes, the winners will also receive nutrition products for culture, tickets at the meeting of national blue berries producers and the most prominent “Portile De Portugal” booklet, directed towards international publication.
