More than super thin
When I first heard the name of Samsung Edge as a new Super-Sanni member in the S25 family, I thought: Why? Honestly, I thought that phone manufacturers had earned their hunger for thinning almost a decade ago. The quest to shave millimeters from the equipment has caused the worse battery life, extra heat and more limited symptoms. So what gives you?
At a certain level, like fashion, old trends can become fresh and stylish over time. In addition, after the phones are transformed to 5G – it requires additional energy, more complex modems and large antennas – the modern parts have begun to decline again, especially the way to return thin handsets. But it touched me. While thinning about the Galaxy S22 Edge is a very wonderful thing, it is not enough to justify the creation of the new device. Instead, I believe this phone is a part of Samsung’s big mission to turn the middle child of its main mobile lineup into a more attractive member of the family. And when you look in that light, I think this is a great success.
Design

While it is suffering from a small battery and suffering from a telephoto lens, the S25 edge is more than a completely designed super elegant phone to be extremely thinning.

Don’t think of me now, despite my grip on how less practical the thinner phones are, the S25 edge is beautifully designed. At just 5.8 mm thick (0.23 inches), it feels very elegant. The more impressive thing is that Samsung did not sacrifice durability to come here. Same S25 Ultra. One difference is that the Edge Screen has a glossy end instead of the Edge Screen matte-and that I am not a child-ay-reflective coating that increases its thickness. The tough design is the glory of the philosophy, because in terms of perfect feeling and aesthetics, the edge of the S25 is undeniable.
However, the S25 Edge shares some features with its frame and the main camera, at least when it comes to its total size, it is refreshed on S25+. It has the same 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refreshing rate, which is powerful and wonderfully colorful. Although it is 163 grams or 5.75 OUNS, S25+ (190 g or 6.7 OZ).
Performance
Like the remaining S25 family, Snapdragon for the edge galaxy chip with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage. Despite the compact dimensions, Samsung found a room to squeeze a steam room inside Samsung to prevent throtting and overheating. So even when pushing, I rarely rarely lot the back of the phone when I do gaming, multi -tasking or anything else you can think.
Cameras
The other main exit from the basic template of S25+is that the edge has a 200MP main sensor, along with the 12MP ultra-wide cam. But there is no dedicated zoom. Now, at first, I feel like a telephoto lens to any expensive phone because I was a little upset. A huge amount of pixels that can capture the primary sensor of Edge means you have little freedom to plant crops without insulting the quality of the image. You should remember to tell the camera to shoot in full 200MP mode instead of the standard 12MP setting. Another small change is that the Edge S25+ and a slightly extensive angle of the Ultra has a 12MP selfie com, which allows you to fit most of the group shots, but this is a really major difference.
In simple use, the S25 edge takes great pics. The colors are rich and details, although you still get a little more of Samsung’s colors and warm tones. The same happens for low-light shots. For this review, instead of comparing it to a pixel or iPhone, I put the edge against the Motorola Rajar Ultra. I think both of them are trying to attract people who seek elegant and stylish device, but they are doing this in a lot of different ways.
Immediately jumping out is that the folding phones (at least RAZR) are still lagging behind traditional glass bricks and thinner. In almost every shot, Samsung’s handset produced bright, sharp and good-free images than Motorola. So if you are a person who wants a compact phone without sacrificing the quality of the film, the S25 edge is a strong choice.
Battery life
The largest trade-off will have a lower room for its battery when phoning this thinly. As such, the S25 Edge family has the smallest power pack at 3,900 mAh, which is 100mAh less than in A Base S22. This led to just 25 hours and 59 minutes of our local video rundown test. It is not terrible, but it is worse than three and a half hours less than we got from the S25 ultra (29:27) and two hours than the standard S25. For those who care about longevity, you have been warned.
Thankfully, the S25 Edge is supported at 15 watts that are acceptable for wireless charging, although its wired speed is an average of 25 watts. However, the phone is just “QI2 is ready“Anyone who wants to use convenient magnetic wireless tools should buy a built -in magnet with a case or adhesive mount, because there is no one inside the phone.
Wrap-up
S25 edge is a partition phone. I still do not fully realize the desire to make modern phones thinner than already exist. Especially if you like a lot of people and if you throw a case as soon as you get (even when accounting a new one of Samsung Super Slim option). Shaving an extra 1.5 mm on the standard S25 does not really make a clear difference in how you use it, if you don’t think of a reduced battery life that is good.
But as an alternative to Hadram S25+, sudden things are very interesting. Samsung’s previous between baby base S2 is a lot more than S2, but it does not have fancy symptoms such as a super high-rescue main camera or the titanium frame you get in the S25 ultra. Really, the most attractive feature of S25+is a fine-sized 6.7-inch screen.
Now here comes the Galaxy S22 Edge. This includes the Super thin and wonderfully designed frame as S25+for the same 100 1,100 starting price. Yes, Samsung sacrificed some battery capacity and the dedicated zoom in the phone, but they were not directly Dealbreakers. Because with the edge, Samsung’s main mobile family member has a stylish identity than just thin, which can stand by itself.
