Yemen warns about the disaster situation of cholera in the “health” aden

In an emergency message sent by Health Director Ahmed Al -Bishi in Aden, he stressed that the withdrawal of the companies supporting this cholera isolation center has intensified the current situation, and that from the withdrawal of the International Immigration Organization three months ago, the center staff are still working voluntarily.

According to the Yemen official, from the beginning of the current May, the cases of cholera have increased significantly, and the World Health Organization has intervened to support the staff, but the support is very limited, as it is limited to 3 doctors and 9 nurses, and this support has not been able to carry out his work for three cases that have reached a day.

According to the speech of the Health and Population Office in Aden, this situation has led to a reduction in the health condition of the cases in the isolation center, and the medical team is unable to follow it, requiring a continuous follow -up to the cholera patient.

As a result of this condition, many cases are suffering from problems such as kidney failure, and deaths have been recorded in just two days. He warned that if the situation is not interfered and prevented, the situation will be exacerbated.

Appeal to intervene

The Health Office in Aden has confirmed that the Al -Vasa Center in Friendship Hospital has been a reference center, not only for the incoming cases that are injured in Aden residents, but also for incoming cases from neighboring governors.

The office has appealed to the Health Ministry to expedite the intervention to prevent the situation before the disaster by supporting adequate medical staff, medicines and medical supplies.

In many neighborhoods of Aden, sewage rash has intensified panic among residents of sheet diseases, as long interrogation hours have been stopped to the treatment centers.
