There may be a trade agreement between India and the United States soon. Next month, a group of US officials will visit India for business talks. In trade negotiations, it is likely that by June 25, the two countries are likely to agree to the interim trade agreement. According to sources, the conversation moves in the right direction.

At the same time, business minister Push Goyal also went to talk about business talks in Washington. He met with US Trade Secretary Howard Ludinik twice.
India wants bilateral trade agreement
India wants a bilateral trade agreement with the United States, which will be the first and the interim contract. Earlier, the US imposed 26 percent of the fees on India, but later Trump had established fees for all countries, which benefited India, and now the basic fee is now 10 per cent in India. In this interim agreement, India is expected to get a full discount from 26 percent fees.
Business between Indo-US
The two countries have set a deadline for the first phase of the PTA (bilateral trade agreement) proposed by September-October this year. The United States has been the largest business partner in the United States for the fourth consecutive year. The price of bilateral trade was $ 131.84 billion in 2024-25, about 18 per cent of India’s total exports, 6.22 per cent of imports and 10.73 per cent of the total trade.
The US has $ 41.18 billion trade surplus in India, which has continued to increase in previous years. The US has expressed its concerns over this growing trade shortage. Both countries are aimed at increasing bilateral trade by more than 500 billion by 2030.
