The Haryana government has appealed to the farmers of Farukhanagar and Patadi area of Gurugram district to participate in water conservation. In fact, the Haryana Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Nurbir Singh said that Gurugram district farmers play an important role in government water conservation efforts. For this purpose, there is a plan to provide water to about 30 villages in the area for the STP (wastewater treatment plant) for agriculture and horticulture. He said that in this meaningful effort of the government, the people should participate in this case and that in this case, they will communicate with the farmers of the area next week.
Farmers are educated
The minister said that the government’s attempt to educate farmers about the groundwater level in the area and to use the treatment of STP’s treatment of water, thereby using the canal water to meet the growing needs. Giving information about his inspection tour, he said that he had inspected the STP channel from Gurugram today to HAJ Nazar. In this canal with a capacity of 500 MLD, Dhanwapur’s total 218 MLD capacity is released by 75 MLD water, which is used by farmers in the HAJ Nazar district.

There is an increase in farmers’ yields
He said that through modern treatment water methods, the water of the STP has now become safe and beneficial to agriculture. It prevents groundwater levels and farmers also get alternative measures for irrigation. He said the government’s goal was to increase the yield of farmers by maintaining the protection of the environment and water resources.
The central government is serious about pollution
Rao said the central government was completely severe about pollution. Rivers in the country are completely committed to clean them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to clean the Yamuna River in five years. In this direction, all relevant states have been ordered to take steps to take steps for pollution control. Apart from this, the state pollution control board has also suggested that the water resources be monitored regularly. He said he would look into the Badshapur canal in Gurugram next week.
Two new wastewater refineries will be built
The Environment Minister has informed that there are currently 218 MLD capacity in Dhanwapur and two in Bahrampur with a total of 170 MLD. In addition, two new sewage refineries (STPs) of 100-100 MLD capacity will be built in Baharampur by 2028, taking an important initiative to strengthen urban waste water management. Two new STPs also determine the use of the city’s contaminated water effectively, but also proves that the hygiene and environmental protection of water resources is a landmark.
