New EAD Rules: Charges a balance between quality and inclusion

The National Association of Private Universities (ANUP) upheld quality standards for distance learning (EAD), but seeking balance in control to ensure the inclusion and innovations in this field.

Despite the recognition of progress, Anup showed a warning, especially in the full text of the new regulations, has not yet been released in the Federal Official Gazette (DUP). In the technical note, it justifies the control framework that ensures the quality of the entity, which is worth the faculty and the student’s learning process is in the middle of the learning process.

However, it warns that any new control needs to consider millions of reality Brazilians that rely on Ead As the only form of access to higher education.

“We are suitable for the control framework of quality (…), but we understand that we need to consider the role of technology and different methods in the educational process and access to education,” the statement said.

Entity has also appealed for operational decisions – such as ratio between tutors and students – not tightly or usually defined, but data, good methods and continuous dialogues between MEC and educational institutions.

Anup believes that “We continue to follow the publication of complementary regulations and reiterate the importance of continuous assessment based on the testimony of operational definitions.”

Congress

For the President of the Mixed Parliamentary Front of Education, Deputy Rafael Brito said that he understands the claim that Brito will encourage the EAD, but logistics is not difficult from today.

“For those with a small town, the logistical trouble of higher education has long been an important argument, but it should not be the center. The country forms doctors and nurses for distance learning. This is not a solution,” he said in a conversation with CNN.

A member of Parliament also argued that the measure would be delayed. “We are looking at much less courses than we can expect from Brazil. It was thought to have happened in the first part of the government. It was a pleasure to come. Everyone was asked for control. In case of legal coursesOb also asked MEC to ban distance training, ”he said.

Brito predicted that it was a “very delicate, very appropriate” measure, and it resonated well in the members of Parliament.
