Mers believes in the 30 -day ceasefire soon in Ukraine

The new German Chancellor, Breedrick MersHe said he hoped that the 30 -day ceasefire agreement would be reached in Ukraine and that it would take place in the coming days, but “the ball is now exclusive in the Moscow combo.”
“We have a great chance now. After this day, it is celebrated as the day of victory in Russia. Roberta MetzolaOn its first trip to Brussels on Friday.
Mers reiterated the same confidence in a press conference with General Secretary General NATOOvarian Mark RutteAt the head of the agreement.
“If you reach a 30 -day ceasefire in Ukraine this weekend,” Mers said. “Ukraine agree with this idea. The United States began this process and recommended it, and the major European countries apparently agreed with it. I could say this was a favorable move to the entire EU and NATO,” he said.
“After the beginning of next weekend and the beginning of the week, we know whether a long -distance arms ceasefire will be realized so that it creates a place for a conversation for prolonged peace in Ukraine.”
“This is the most accurate and direct test of the Russian president’s severity to achieve peace in Ukraine,” Mers concluded.
In March, Ukraine accepted the 30 -day ceasefire proposed by US mediators in Saudi Arabia.
“Ukraine has expressed the desire to accept the US proposal to dictate the 30 -day immediate and temporary ceasefire, which can be extended by the inter -parties, and this is subject to the acceptance and implementation of the Russian Federation,” according to the US and Ukrainian joint report published in Jedah.
But Russia opposed the acknowledgment of this agreement, instead, by providing a list of many -Renj requirements to be met before.
This includes the use of the ceasefire to reunite and repair its forces of Ukraine, and the duty of the West to suspend the supply of weapons to Kiev.
Russia unilaterally declared a two -term ceasefire: one during the Easter and one of May 9, but on both occasions, Kremlin violated its own fighting and continued its air strikes against Ukraine.
Mers believes in Trump’s plan
Mers said Europe supports the US president’s ceasefire Donald TrumpBoth the European Union and the United States are ready to impose more sanctions on Moscow to press the country to sign a contract. Brussels and Washington will continue to support Ukraine and increase their support if needed.
“Russia must be involved in the path of true peace talks,” said German Chancellor Roberta Metzola. “If this does not happen, we will not hesitate with our European allies and the United States to increase the pressure on the sanctions.”
In this introduction to Brussels, in the progress of Europe, Mers maintained conversations with the Chairman of the European Commission, Ursula van der laneAnd with the president of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
