IVPA expressed happiness over the MSP of oilseed crops, now this demand is placed before the center

The central government on Wednesday increased the MSP of 14 crops for the Kharif Marketing Season 2025-26. It is expected to be very relieved to farmers. Some crops are also included in the above crops. In such a situation, the Indian Vegetable Oil Producer Association (IVPA) welcomed the decision. IVPA Chairman Sudhakar Desai said this was a progressive phase taken at a time, which helps to increase the production of oilseeds and reduce India relying on imports.
Sudhakar Desai urged the government to take into consideration the purchase intervention for other major oilseeds beyond the mustard to win over food imports. The company said that these measures would bring stability in prices and support farmers, which would contribute to the expansion of oilseeds.
Recommended to implement PDPS
In addition, the IVPA has recommended the implementation of the Price Decision Payment Scheme (PDPS) under Prime Minister Annadata Income Ceres Campaign (PM-AS). By implementing the PDPs well, farmers are not only starting to get beneficial prices but also supply oilseed yields to domestic oil mills. It increases domestic processing efficiency, increases the availability of edible oils for consumers and ensures the continuous supply of oil cakes to cattle and poultry areas.
DDGS has raised the aid problem in the competition
The IVPA has suggested that the government has demanded the government to stabilize the prices of oil cake (D-Oil Cake) for competition from DDGs. Sudhakar Desai said that promoting the cultivation of oilseeds and providing a wide range of help to maintain the MSP in oilseeds.
At the same time, reducing imports and promoting the overall value of the edible oil ecosystem, as well as providing feeds to the fodder industry, such as aqua, poultry and cattle. Sudhakar Desai said he was committed to partnership with the IVPA government in increasing the steady growth of India’s oilseed economy and confirming food and nutrition security to all.
