Officials have told me that additional Rs 5 crore will be needed to repair it and that many pipes in Delhi are over 80 years old and they should be replaced immediately.

Verma said fingerprint scanners would be installed to register their arrival at all DJP offices to increase accountability. In addition, 180 junior engineers will be appointed for maintenance and project work, while the number of workers in each constituency will be increased from 10 to 20.
