Delhi: Delhi Water Minister Bravesh Verma on Wednesday announced that the number of water tankers for compulsory biometric arrival will be increased, the 249 new pipeline and improvement in distribution. At the Delhi Assembly session, Verma said that a command center has been set up to monitor the water supply, which will be opened by Chief Minister Reka Gupta in a few days. Delhi requires 1200 million gallons of water per day, but only 990 MGD water is available.

This is the plan of the Delhi government

To satisfy this defect, Verma said the government would put 249 new pipe wells over the next three months – 96 May, June 88 and July 55. Currently 901 tankers are running water and this number will be increased to 1,327, Verma said. However, tankers are only a temporary solution, we need to solve the root causes of water shortage. The Minister said that 32 new super savage machines would soon be installed and 30 tenders would be recognized for the cleaning of wastewater. Within the next four months, the silt will be removed from all the drains, and the sewers and sensors will be installed in water tankers so that the water level can be properly monitored.

Verma said that all parts will be integrated with IT cells for better surveillance. He said that the water infrastructure project built at a cost of Rs 4 crore at the previous government in the association Vihar would not be used due to many leaks. Officials have told me that additional Rs 5 crore will be needed to repair it and that many pipes in Delhi are over 80 years old and they should be replaced immediately.

Verma said fingerprint scanners would be installed to register their arrival at all DJP offices to increase accountability. In addition, 180 junior engineers will be appointed for maintenance and project work, while the number of workers in each constituency will be increased from 10 to 20.
