Without peace, there is no future

I just read a few days ago, the book that calls itself “hope”, which is the biography of Pope Francis. So as not to feel that I am forced, be Christian Catholic, to declare conflicts of my interests, because I consider the content of the book that I recommend to everyone, regardless of being an atheist who does not know or belongs to any religion.

Catholics do not even recommend, I say they should feel obligated to read it. Once we do so, we can agree or not with some situations and data for the author, but without reading the book, we cannot, with his possibilities, disagree and a sign of dissection publicly. The author himself admits and wants to.

In fact, I thought about another topic of a modest text for this month. However, what happened at the age of twenty -eighth, in the White House, in the United States of America, made me choose the topic that I suggest to your reflection. I do so, only and only, from the perspective of a citizen in the world, which was long and worried about geopolitical strategies at the economic level, for fundamental or popular ideologies, models of government, … I want to believe that what happened in the meeting between us and Ukraine presidents is a bad luck to one of the strongest men in the world. In addition to a bad welcome, he is even responsible for his guest to be responsible for the Third World War. The fact is that it really happens, despite the cutting, as Pope Francis said sometimes.

Why did this issue bring to one of the newspapers directed at the entire audience, but with a greater privacy for all interested or even participate in the social and supportive sector, especially the private social solidarity institutions (IPSS)? It is a sector that suffers from sufficient conditions, especially in the age groups for children and youth, but even in other times, without forgetting the relationship with the surrounding community. In the institutions covered by these sectors, they are learned, from an early age, all the necessary values ​​for a society where there is: more social cohesion; More solidarity. Sensitivity added to the difference; Caring for others, especially for the most vulnerable; More feeling of justice is more sensitive to animals and everything is part of nature; The gradual cognitive development; Happy occupation of the time of emptiness. Unfortunately, we know that there are still many citizens without reaching the social or social responses of education from IPSS; Parents or children do not always direct their families to the same human care standards or complete, which seek to instill their families; These social means, with special interest in social networks, today have an irreplaceable effect on people, and the generation of personal and social problems, and sometimes very serious.

Bullying in schools, places of work, violence in dating or husbands, as well as conflicts between gangs, almost always from critical neighborhoods, among other situations in which peace is asked. I refer to our country, but at the international level there are many countries in the war, although they are often talked about Israel and Hamas, from Russia and Ukraine. There are 59, countries in war around the world.

Regarding war and peace, allow me, from now on, to give less opinion and learn more about the Pope, and copy some extracts of Chapter 21 of the book above, which is the title “The Scandal of Peace”. It indicates the destruction already caused by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and does what is accessible to it, which is the call of peace. He realizes that he is not easy, so he says: “The path of peace has its risks, of course, but it includes higher risks without the limits of the path of weapons, and coercion to repeat eternal race on weapons that pollute the soul and offer huge resources to combat malnutrition, to ensure medical treatments for all, to really create justice, in the only way that can avoid emphasis. Humanity.

Most wars, if not most of them, have economic foundations. In these cases, I prefer to call them financially, because the economy is a more comprehensive science and sometimes makes the financial field deviant. Now this work has become, along with human trafficking and drug spaces, the most profitable worldwide. They are rapidly manufactured and factories weapons displacement. In almost every country, the percentage of GDP in this sector is higher than education, health, housing, culture and salary levels. About this, Francisco is very objective: “If weapons are not made for a year, the hunger in the world will completely end, one day without military expenses that will save 34 million people, but instead you choose to increase military expenses, as it has never happened … and make hunger.

Peace is possible! Sometimes this conviction, St. Paul VI. It may be a utopia, but it is full of the potential of being a very promising, because it is pregnant with hope. It will only be enough to be an early age, but also throughout life, he was educated against violence and peace. There are already educational tools that have been set for this purpose. I suggest, at least, for some of our IPSS leaders, who try it. This is the call that makes us Pope Francis: “However, we cannot surrender, we cannot get tired of the release of the seeds of reconciliation. We cannot surrender to the minds of rhetoric or bilisista, because the fate of humanity cannot be the construction of armed kingdoms of the teeth that face fear (…) We must organize certainty that every seed of peace will bear its fruits. “Justice and Peace” (Ps 84).

I am convinced of “without peace, there is no future.” Will there be someone who differs?
