Asia’s largest vegetable market is built in Sonpat, in the middle of the country’s agricultural economy
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana visited the India International Horticulture Market (International Fruit-Sabji Mandi), which is being built in Gannur in Sonepat district on Friday. He conducted a surprise inspection about the fruit and vegetable market under construction and gave the authorities on the spot. The Agriculture Minister said that the construction work should be completed in a timely manner. After the inspection, he said horticulture and agriculture were very important for our economy. It has now become part of the global economy.
Park is an important part of the economy
He said that in order to transform India into the third largest economy from the fifth largest economy in the world, every sector requires development and horticulture is an important part of it. He said that farmers will benefit from this modern market, which is being built in Gannur from this modern market. Its construction work will be completed next year. The Haryana government is constantly working to promote horticulture, seafood, dairy and flower cultivation.
The construction of the France market lines
He informed that France’s famous Rugis wholesale is developing Gannur’s market. The responsibility of preparing it has been entrusted to the Hyderabad Nagarjuna Construction Company. It will be Asia’s largest horticultural market. Haryana International Horticulture Marketing Corporation Limited will complete the construction of the market in two years. After this, fruits and vegetables are brought from 14 states in the country, which gives good prices to farmers and increase business.
Modern facilities are on the Mandi campus
The minister said that there will be many modern facilities in the market premises. The sewage treatment plant (STP), the solid waste management plant (SWMP) for garbage management, the water treatment plant (WTP) for drinking water, 17 large sheds, vehicle parking, workshops and five power houses. The Agriculture Minister said that construction work would begin soon and as soon as the market was ready, you would look brighter. This market proves to be a landmark for farmers.
Government focus on park
The Haryana government is now paying attention to traditional crops such as wheat and rice, so the income of the people should be increased. Being the largest market of Asia, the state’s farmers also benefit. It is reported that Israel in Haryana is also doing good in the horticultural area and helping farmers through the seed center.
