The Punjab government raises the issue of reorganization of the BBMB, the Center has given instructions on the security of the Kendra Dam
The dispute of water partnership from the Bhakra-Nangal Dam has not yet been fully resolved. Meanwhile, after the onset of the fresh water distribution cycle on Wednesday, water was released from the Bhakra-Nangal Dam to Haryana. At the same time, the AAM Aadmi Party has withdrawn her dharna for the past 20 days to protest the release of additional water to Haryana. CM Mann said the BBMB reorganization issue should be raised at the NITI Aayog meeting. At the same time, the Center has given suggestions to deploy CISF staff regarding the safety of the Bhakra Dam.
There is a controversy in Punjab and Haryana over water partnership. Punjab’s AAM Aadmi Party government refused to share water from the Bhakra Dam, said the neighboring state had already used its water share. Therefore, he does not give him extra water.
Haryana gets 10,300 cusex water
Haryana is demanding 8,500 cusec water, but the Punjab government has allowed 4,000 cusec water on a humanitarian basis. AAP workers at Nangal Dam under the Bhakra Dam for the past 20 days to prevent the release of Haryana from release of additional water while SIT -in. At the meeting last week, the Bhakra Bees Management Board decided that Punjab would get 17,000 cusecs, Haryana 10,300 cusecs and 12,400 cusex of Rajasthan.
296 CISF personnel save the Bhakra Dam
Punjab then opposed 10,300 cusec water demand from the neighboring state since May 21 and described it as’ unhealthy and the needs of the Bhakra Main Line (BML) canal and the needs of the border state. At the same time, the central government has approved the troop of 296 armed CISF personnel to provide the security of the Bhakra Dam. The Union Home Ministry has ordered that the Central Intelligence and Security Organizations have prepared a report on the possibility of the accident.
In view of the report, the Force should be deployed at the Dam in Nangal on the border of Punjab-Himachal Pradesh. A total of 296 Central Industrial Security Force (CSG) personnel will be deployed at the Bhakra Dam to protect against any destruction or terrorist attack. He said that as soon as there is a solution to the logistics and housing related issues for the soldiers, the Force will maintain its place.

Punjab CM advised
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Man will start water from Wednesday at the Vijaya rally in Nangal. In his speech, he told the Haryana officials to use the wisdom of the water. Don’t expect more water from Punjab.
Punjab raises the BBMB reorganization problem
Man claimed that 15.06 lakh cusec water was allocated to Haryana in the last water cycle, but Haryana used 16.48 lakh cusecs. The Chief Minister said that the state would raise the issue of BBMB’s reorganization at the NITI Aayog meeting on Saturday. He said the issue would be raised at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister.

The demand of the water agreement
As the water level is constantly changing, he said every water contract should be reviewed every 25 years. He said that Punjab was a border state and that the only natural resources available in terms of water and fertile soil to feed the country. Man has accused BBMB
Man claimed that BBMB had taken Rs 32 crore from Punjab for its projects for its existence, but did not return the money. He said BBMB owes Rs 150 crore in Punjab. He said the state government would soon be recovering the money.
The Chief Minister called the BBMB as a white elephant and described it in the current form. The BBMB does not deliberately fill the Punjab quota’s 3,000 posts, thereby weakening the state’s argument on water. Man said that the ignoring BBMB has also been destroyed by beautifully designed townships like Nangal.
He said Punjab had a wonderful history to sacrifice Punjab to protect the 553 -kilometer long border with Pakistan. Mann said that despite being small in the area, Haryana was getting more water from Punjab. He said that 60 per cent of the canals in the state of agricultural land in the state today are irrigated, which will be very valuable for every drop of Punjab. (PTI)
