Terrorist attacks in Pakistan have increased in the recent past, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. The latest report at the Center for Research and Security Research in Pakistan said that the number of militants deaths in the first quarter of the last 12 years is more than the first time in the general citizens and security forces.

A report by the Think Tank Center for research and security research said a total of 495 terrorists were killed in the first quarter of 2025. The deaths of security personnel declined by 13 percent. At the same time, the deaths of terrorists rose 20 percent.

From January to March 2025, 897 people died and 542 were injured in terrorist attacks and retaliation. In the last quarter of 2024, 1028 deaths were recorded. Violence case in the first quarter of 2025 declined by 13 percent in the case of violence in the first quarter of 2024.

Khyber Pakhtungwa and Balochistan become the focus of violence

Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan Province are violent centers. 98 percent of Pakistan’s deaths are registered in these two provinces. In the first quarter of 2025, the last quarter rate of 2024 declined by 18 percent of deaths. During this period, 63 percent of terrorist deaths occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

35 percent of deaths were recorded in Balochistan. However, there was a 15 percent increase in violence on terrorism. A total of 94 percent of terrorist violence has been reported in both provinces.

Fear of increasing violence in 2025

The report feared that the number of deaths could increase further in 2025. By the end of 2025, more than 3600 deaths may occur. If the trend of violence continues by terrorists, Pakistan will be very bad in 2025.

Violence continues in Ramadan

Even during the holy month of Ramadan, there is a period of terrorist attacks in Pakistan. In the month of Ramadan, 313 people were killed and 217 injured in a terrorist attack. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Balochistan Liberation Army, Siddhideh Revolutionary Army and DDP-Kul Bahadur Group have banned the attacks.
