Two of the former director of Volkswagen convicted in Germany for the “diesel” scandal

On Monday, the Bronchoug Provincial Court condemned a previous leadership of the German Automobile Federation, Volkswagen, to prison sentences on charges of fraud in the framework of the scandal to manipulate diesel emissions data and monitoring monitoring penalties.

The manipulation was discovered in 2015 by the American authorities. In total, the Volkswagen group had to pay more than 30,000 million euros of compensation.
In April 2019, the Braunchuj Public Prosecutor’s Office filed the first accusation that caused the four -convicted response to the courts.
Initially, the former Volkswagen Group, Martin Winzorn, had to be among the defendants, but the operation had to be separated against him with the disease.
Currently the process is suspended against Winxorn.

There are still four criminal operations related to the diesel scandal with a total of 31 accused on the bench
