Last year, there were no wheat in Mandis until this date. During the collection of 2024, the total arrival of wheat in the district was 7.72 lakh metric tonnes (MT) in 2023, 7.52 lakh MT.
Farmers are worried about not buying

Officials have confirmed that the purchase delay is mainly due to additional moisture, which is more than 12 percent. District Marketing Enforcement Officer Eshwar Rana said, “We are appealing to farmers to bring only drought and clean wheat to grain mandis only to the grain Mandis, so that the purchase is not late.”
Purchase work will begin soon
District Food and Supplies Controller Anil Kumar said the district -level committee has opened bids for the selection of labor and transport contractors and is pending at the state level. Kumar said, “The district has completed its process. The dialects have been sent to the state -level committee, which is expected to decide the names of contractors by April 8. Immediately, the purchase work will begin with the lift and loading.”
