The importance of electoral act
Through the legislative, municipal and presidential elections at the door, it is not useful to remember the importance of the electoral law, because refraining from voting in Portugal, as we saw in the various elections held in recent years.

The legislative bodies are scheduled to be held on May 18, and among them the deputies will go out to the Republic Association, and therefore, to form the new government, and perhaps it was not necessary to protest in any other reason to go to the polls, but in Portugal, high rates of refraining from the opposite appear. The Portuguese municipal elections for 2025 will be held at a date with which the government will communicate, between September 22 and October 14. The president will be next January.
In the recent legislative elections, held in March 2024, 33.8 % of voters did not vote, while in the last municipalities (September 2021) exceeded 46 %, the presidential vote (January 2021) exceeded 61 %.
If we look at the legislative elections for the direct global polls in Portugal, the rate of abstinence in the assault in 1976 was about 16 %, while the municipalities, in the same year, had refrain from 35 % and for the presidency 25 %. The removal of the Portuguese from opinion polls cultivated from the nineties is common in all kinds of elections, that is, it appears in both the presidency, the municipality and the legislative. Also in the European, but this, in principle, will only be in 2029.
Voting is the only way to show the direction you want for society.
After the enthusiasm of the beginning of the democratic system, are the democratic Portuguese as the acquisitions of it? Some say that political interest in national citizens does not exist, while others attribute the blame to the politicians and the small confidence that emanate from them. Certainly, there is no reasonable excuse, and although politicians come from society, the practice of politics is necessary, noble science and Ennobler.
Voting is the only way to show the direction you want for society. And in a young democracy, like us, we must remember that it is necessary to struggle for the right to vote to become a reality, now, wasted by those who do not move to the voting places.
