The Ilahavo Maritime Museum celebrates the International Museum’s International Day and the European Museum night
The Ilhavo Maritime Museum represents the day of the International Museum and the European Museum night, with programming for all audiences. On May 18, Sunday, the entrance will be free in the Lahvo Maritime Museum, on board the Santo André Museum ship and at the Maritime Religious Center.

The most prominent in the celebrations is the opening of the “Blue in the party”, at 16:30. With Fátima Marques Pereira, this exhibition celebrates the appearance, gesture and presence of women in the symbolic and real sea area.
On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the International Women’s Day, which was established by the United Nations in 1975, this exhibition brings together works by women who are approaching the sea as a space that lived, imagined and transformed, where intimacy, group, body, landscape, history and present are crossed.
Before the opening of the temporary exhibition, at 3:30 pm, the performance is carried out by “Suble Sound”, by the Technical Construction and Research Center between expressions and languages-with the technical residency project-“Voice and Hame in Summary”. This performance creates intersections between visual arts and music, as it addresses issues related to the capabilities leading to the body, gestures and sound, with the participation of Inês Moura, Lilian Walker and Rita Maria.
To celebrate the European Museum night, the ílhavo Museum will open from 9:30 pm to 24:00, with free acceptance, free visits and advanced paper dynamics challenge families to start a night adventure through the museum.
