The General Assembly of the World Health Organization in Geneva has accepted two decisions for the benefit of the Palestinian state, the first is related to the entry of Palestine to the International Health Regulations, and the worsening health conditions of the occupied Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian News (WAFA) said on Friday that the Palestinian government voted in favor of the Palestinian state’s decision to join the international health regulations submitted by 112 countries, while opposed (Hungary and Israel).
This decision accepted the entire merger of the state for international health, which is the laws and procedures that control the relationship between the National Health Ministries and the World Health Organization, especially in the fields of emergency and infections and fans.
This action is a standard change in the benefit of palestine from international support in health emergency, and from international cooperation and coordination mechanisms to provide a suitable health service to the Palestinian people.
The regulations of 2005 were recognized and implemented in 2007, because the state of Palestine had an official communication point with the organization since 2010, but now, with this decision, it is considered the same as other member states, which give the full authority to benefit from all the technical and technical support provided by the regulations.
The General Assembly “Health conditions on the occupied Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem”, and a voice (Hungary and Israel) in favor of 114 countries, and 15 from voting.
This decision illustrates a severe decline in the health conditions, especially in the Gaza fragment, and the Israeli occupation is to be blocked, and allows humanitarian and medical aid without restrictions.
This decision must be respected by the international humanitarian law, protecting health and their workers, and stopping attacks on them.
