First Native President Justice will take office on September 1

After 6.1 million people voted for him on June 1 in Mexico’s first judiciary, he would be the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mexico (SCJN).

According to the National Elections Agency (INE), Aguiler received 5.3% of the vote, which made him the most voted candidate among the SCJN’s interested ministers. The 51 -year -old Aguiler will be sworn in before the Senate on September 1, and on the same day, he will accept the leadership of the Supreme Court as the first tribal Chief Justice.

Since the election, Aguiler has not publicly declared himself a winner. However, in recent interviews, he has expressed the impression that he is “attracted” and “happy, very happy,” because of the historical importance of the election for Mexico’s native and the Afro-Mexican communities.

“I am very happy to be a good lawyer from Okshaka’s next president of the Supreme Court,” President Claudia Shinebam told a press conference on Wednesday morning. “I have the privilege of knowing him.”

The new president of the SCJN is considered sympathetic to the ruling Maranna party, although he has no formal political contact.
