The Paulo Piteo Sports Complex, in São Joao da Madeira, will receive my country’s investment of about 1.9 million euros for modernization and eradication.

The intervention has already been approved by the executive authority and the nomination goal for the PT2030 community support staff, with expected financing for more than 1.1 million euros.
This work includes improvements in energy efficiency and water management, as well as access and architectural rehabilitation.
SãO João Da Madeira PS explains that the complex update is “complementing the new complexes project and is not replaced.”
The City Council has already contracted to review the new complexes project to move forward with the division into several stages, after the possibility of nomination in the framework of European financial support PT2030.
- The removal of the Paulo Pinto Sports Complex will allow to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from 189.8 tons/year to 62.86 tons/year, “which makes the building more sustainable and efficient”;
- Installing 150 hybrid plates to produce electricity, heat water, replace the frame, and improve thermal insulation.
- Renewal of air conditioning and lighting systems and installation of devices to reduce water consumption and air conditioning for people with low mobility.
