The EEA grant fund is a financial mechanism known as a financial mechanism for European economic space (MFE) through which Norway and Icelands and Liechtenstein are supported by the European Union member states with higher deviations from the European average of the individual’s gross domestic product, which includes Portugal.
The arrival of the Norwegian delegation was cooperated to learn about the port investments by the EEA National grant management unit, the Norwegian embassy and innovation in Norway.
35 Portuguese and Norway delegates participated in the organized meeting with the intention of “strengthening bilateral relations” and “strengthening a constructive dialogue on issues related to the port modernization.”
“During the meeting, basic issues related to innovation were addressed in the maritime sector, which encourages the exchange of ideas, the exchange of good practices and the definition of new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries,” says Porto de Aviro.
The program also included visits to Prio Energy and CS Wind PT facilities in which she looked “examples of dynamism, innovation and sustainability, highlighting the strategic role of the region in the context of energy and technological transition.”
The statement concludes that the organization of the visit “enhances the commitment of Porto de Aviro to enhance strategic partnerships and contribute to the sustainable development of the blue economy, and to enhance international innovation and cooperation as an essential pillars for a more sustainable future.”
