Today, on Sunday, the Jordanian Strategic Forum published an article titled “its role in promoting future technology and productivity”, in which the importance of accepting an integrated national strategy to improve the use of leading technology in various fields, contributes to the development of productivity and improve the capacity of the Jordanian economy.
In its study, the forum pointed out the importance of the role of the “National Council for Future Technology”, established with Royal commands to contribute to strengthen Jordan’s status in the global digital economy; It focuses on digital change, uses modern technologies and including leading technology in the economy; Artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, Blackchain Technology and Robots.
The “leading technology” is expected to see a quality improvement worldwide, making $ 9.5 trillion revenue by 2030, according to the UNDAD technology and innovation report, compared to $ 1.5 trillion by 2020.
The article also reviewed some of the conclusions published in the World Bank’s “Middle East and North Africa” report, where the individual income in Jordan has been reported that the average person’s income (US) is only 18 percent of the average person’s income, while the total production factors measured the performance of the performance of its capital.
In this study there was an analysis of the amount of manufacturing technology in Jordan, where secondary (pharmaceutical businesses, medical equipment …) high tech industries are only 9.8 per cent of the total industrial production in Jordan, while low -tech industries (clothing, gentles, furniture, paper … This reflects the need for policies that support the transition to the most advanced businesses to improve Jordan’s competitiveness.
The article emphasized that 31 percent of the productivity between the facilities is due to technical advances at various levels, and that many emerging countries follow modern technologies, widely used in advanced business models and their local economies; Leads to the so -called spreading or technical infiltration.
The forum called for the use of leading technology in various manufacturing processes, followed by an integrated strategy that combines investment, emphasizes the role of the National Council for future technology, especially when these initiatives improve investment in human capital, education, infrastructure and advanced organizations.
