OVAR is preparing to receive 15,000 scouts
More than 15,000 scouts heading to the OVAR municipality of two national and international events is scheduled for July 30 and August 10. The main activities will be held in Cortegaça, Esmoriz and OVAR diocese.
In response to expected visitors and logistical services that necessarily participate in the Global Scout Camp and the Porto Regional Camp CE CNE (CNE), the local municipality said that it is working in close expression “with organizational entities, and now declares” awareness procedures with the local population, specific information for traditional trade and promotion of communications. “
It is expected that there will be about 10,000 foreign participants from more than 80 countries, expecting “extensive dynamics in the streets, public places, commercial units and municipal equipment.”

The Sixteenth Camp – World Scout will be “assembled” on the main field of the Scout Center in Buçaquinho and the surrounding area, in Cortegaça, from July 30 to August 3, with participants from 18 to 25 years old. The opening ceremony will be held on July 30, next to Cortegaça Beach.
Below is the twenty-eighth camp of Acareg-CNE Regional Camp (5 and 10 August), in the same region, with about 5,000 scouts, most of them Portuguese, coming from groups of the entire Porto diocese. The activities of this camp will revolve around the diocese of Cortegaça, especially in the Buçaquinho area.
