The Supreme Court refused to ask for the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and West Bengal. The states are protesting
Governments of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and West Bengal have been opposed to the NEP since the beginning of 2020. The chiefs of these states refused to accept it. Tamil Nadu and Kerala argued that the principle is given less emphasis on regional languages and cultures, while West Bengal considers the autonomy of the states. These states have insisted on implementing their academic policies.
