Chinese students in the United States increase difficulties! Marco Rubio threatens to cancel the visa – Marco Rubio NTC says the US will seriously cancel visas for Chinese students

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that the US government would begin to cancel the Visa of Chinese students, including students studying or related to the Communist Party of China. After India, China is the second largest source of international students in the United States. For the academic year 2023–2024, nearly 270,000 students from China studied in the United States, one -fourth of all foreign students.

Rubio said in a statement, “Under the leadership of US Foreign Ministry President Trump, the Chinese students work aggressively to cancel the visa, and study students in the Communist Party of India or students in important fields.”

This move is a reaction to increasing pressure on US universities to end its ties with China. The House Republican Party recently asked Duke to end a relationship with the Chinese University. With this cooperation, he said that Chinese students have access to important research funded by the United States.

Donald Trump vs Harvard

The Department of Home Affairs (DHS) has suspended Harvard University to enroll new international students. The school has been accused of ‘coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party’ through research alliance. Harvard is also training a Chinese paramilitary group members.

The announcement of Rubio came a day after the government stopped a visa interview for new international students in anticipation of a strict investigation of applicants.

Meanwhile, speaking to reporters at the White House Oval office, US President Donald Trump targets foreign students. He said, “We don’t want to see the explosions in shopping centers. We don’t want to look at you like the riots you have done. I tell you that many of them have not gone anywhere. Many of them are criminals born by fundamentalist leftists.”

The action of banning international students by the Trump administration is in the center of controversy. US Immigration and Customs enforcement arrests students who are participating in demonstrations earlier this year and sought to deport them. Before changing the rules on student visas, the administration temporarily repealed the legitimate status of thousands of international students.

Harvard is in the center of this controversy. The university has more than 27 percent international students. Trump said the percentage should be reduced to 15 percent. He said in the Oval office, “I would like to make sure that foreign students can love our country.”

Strict rules for visa

The US government will also investigate the social media account of visa applicants. Since 2019, social media manipulations are essential for visa applicants, but Rubio, especially China and Hong Kong, will increase the investigation of the new rules.

The Trump administration stopped the university’s $ 2.2 billion federal fund. It then stopped Harvard’s ability to grant permission to international students. Harvard took these measures after sharing information about foreign students and refusing to address anti -Ejeev event on campus. In response, Harvard has sued the administration for his actions.
