Hero Asia Cup 2025 will be held in Rajkir
Hero Asia Cup 2025: The historic city of Bihar Rajkir is fully prepared to hold the Hero Asia Cup 2025. The event was officially announced after the Mou (MOU) between Hockey India and Bihar State Sports Authority. This valuable competition will be held at the recently developed Rajkir Hockey Stadium from August 29 to September 7, which will be a significant achievement in India’s sports infrastructure and the World Sports Center. It will be the second international sports event organized by Rajkir. Earlier, the women’s Asian Champions Trophy was successful in November 2024, in which India won the winning title.
Eight teams are participating in the 12th edition of the Continental Tournament including India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China and Malaysia. The remaining two teams will ensure their place through a qualified match AHF Cup.

South Korea has been the most successful team in the history of the men’s Asia Cup, which won five titles (1994, 1999, 2009, 2013 and 2022). India (2003, 2007 and 2017) and Pakistan (1982, 1985 and 1989) have won the competition three times.
The Hero Asia Cup Rajkir increases the importance of Bihar 2025, as it will be a qualified event for the 2026 FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup, which will take place in Belgium and the Netherlands. This event will not only increase Bihar’s reputation in international sports, but also promote new hockey players in the region.
