Fuerteventura hosts a new version of the FTV 4.0 Tourism Conference

On May 13 and 14, the first stage of Congress will target the young audience

The new Ministry of Technologies offers a wide programming of workshops, technological demonstrations and overwhelming experiences

Fuerteventura will celebrate a new copy of the “Concentum Technology and Tourism FTV 4.0”, under the slogan “for sustainable, smart and exciting tourism. The Palace of Training and Congress will combine experts, companies, youth and citizenship to address the digital transformation of the tourism sector, in an event organized by the new Ministry of Technologies, Carmen Alonso.

Congress was organized in two distinguished stages: the first directed to the smallest audience on May 13 and 14, and the second that targets professionals in this sector, with a more commercial approach, which will be held on June 12 and 13.

In the first stage, Congress will provide a variety of workshops for workshops, technological demonstrations and interactive experiences. On May 13, the “Virtual Reality in Tourism” workshop will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, where the participants can explore the destinations in an innovative way by using VR glasses. On the same day, from 12:00 am to 2:00 pm, “Fuerteventura”, a guide session with a flight simulation that allows the experience of a virtual tour of the most symbolic landscape on the island.

May 14 will be the beginning of the workshop “Artificial Intelligence in Tourism”, which focuses on artificial intelligence applications to customize experiences and improve tourism services. In addition, those who have not been able to participate in the previous day will have a new opportunity to enjoy an overwhelming flight experience.

For the President of The Insular Cabildo, Lola García, this forum is “a commitment determined by new technologies to have a more intelligent, innovative tourist model related to the twenty -first century citizenship, which places Fuerteventura at the forefront of technological and digital transformation.”

In this sense, the need to open these spaces for all residents, especially the youngest people, as a way to involve them in the development of the island.

For its part, the new Minister of Technologies, Carmen Alonso, says that “FTV 4.0 is a real opportunity for all citizens to lose fear of technology, and that they learn from it and understand that there is also another way to do tourism,” and confirms.

One of the main developments of the forum is the installation of the latest generation flight simulation, SIM FLIGHT MOTION VR, which will almost allow landscapes in Fuerteventura. This overwhelming experience will be available for free in the main hall of the box, with open doors from 2:00 pm. Until 7:00 pm, both days.

The forum is part of the FDCANVENTURA 2023-2027 program, funded by the strategic line 1 of the axis of research and development, with the cooperation of the Canary Islands government and active participation in training centers, public entities, technological companies and the tourism field.

Overland technology to know the island

Air simulation is depicted as an educational tool and upgrade in the region. Users are allowed to experiment on a three -dimensional map of the island, choose objective methods such as volcanic, coastal or water, and interact with physical aviation leaders. It also includes a dedicated narration explaining the geographical, historical and environmental values ​​of Fuerteventura.

This resource also enhances the ability to recruit and technological seizure, air -related Awakening, VR environments, programming and experimental tourism.
