Fuerteventura Cabildo encourages the preservation of Ecological systems with an environmental restoration project
The Ministry of Environment’s initiative will be held at the Oliva Biological Station and in the Petkuria Rural Park
Cabildo de Fuertevenetura, through the Ministry of Environment, has launched a project to restore the ground ecosystems of Fuerteventura, an initiative to restore original plants, eliminate gas species and build infrastructure to preserve national plant species. The project will be implemented in two main areas on the island: the biological station at La Oliva and Mount Castillo de Lara, located in Betancuria rural park.
The President of the island, without Garcia, repeats the commitment of Cabildo de FuerteveNtura to preserve the region and biological diversity, with initiatives such as those developed from Olive Biology.
By calculating the European funds NextGENERATIONATIONATIONAE and a execution period of eight months, this initiative “will allow the creation of a sustainable infrastructure and the development of scientific and educational programs at the Oliv biological station, which enhances Cabildo’s commitment to memorizing and protecting its precious natural heritage”, explained by the Minister of Environment, Carlos Rhodozi.
Among the main procedures for the project, the composition of the multi -colonel greenhouse includes a height of 3,224.50 square meters, and the construction of a supplementary ship of 237.50 square meters to control storage and technical control, and the creation of the genetic bank of 2626 square meters, dedicated to preserving the original species.
In addition, an effective irrigation system will be implemented with a water tank of 271 cubic meters and a hunting fence will be installed to protect recycled areas.
The initiative is also considering collecting and cloning the original seeds, submitting them submitted in the natural environment and restoring the deteriorating soil, thus enhancing isolated biological diversity. All measures will be developed to comply with the environmental regulations in force in the municipality of La Oliva and in Betancuria Rural Park.
