Amman – Workers in the tourist car rental industry recommended that the occupation rates should reach about 60 % during the Eid al -Athada holiday, which was driven by increasing the demand for tourists, foreigners and citizens.
The owners of the tourist car rental offices pointed out that the demand for car rental has begun to see a significant operation in the past few days, pointing out that the current occupation rate is about 35 %, which is “acceptable” this year.
It is likely to increase the number of holiday bookings at present, with the arrival of 55 to 60 %of the party and the arrival of a large number of foreigners and tourists, especially from the Gulf countries, and the growing local demand after the second day of Edin.
Tourism reflects this field
In the first five months of this year, the progress in the light of continuous growth in the tourism industry in Jordan, according to the Central Bank Jordan and data from the Ministry of Tourism and Archeology.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, the number of international observers increased by 20.6 %and reached about 2.696 million viewers, compared to 2.234 million in the same period last year.

For his part, director Ahmed al -Hmadi, one of the car rental offices, said, “The occupation rate has reached about 35 % since the beginning of this week, expecting the initial booking of tourists and foreigners to rise to 60 % during the EIT vacation.
Al -Ohmadi pointed out that citizens prefer to rent small cars with low fuel consumption due to the high operational cost.
In the same environment, Mohamed Anwar, director of a tour car rental office, said that the occupation rate has now reached 35 %, and that it was a candidate during the Eid holiday, and that he demanded the need to control the market and prevent the “invasive persons” from the work.
The number of tourist car rental offices in Jordan is estimated at 235 offices of various governors of the kingdom and occupied more than 3 thousand employees.
