Cabildo works to restore the Vallebrón scene in its final stage

Cabildo de Fuerteventura develops sustainable rehabilitation of Vallebrón’s sustainable landscapes in Porto Rosario. A project that represents part of the “PSTD)” PSTD) plan for the Ministry of Tourism at Cabildo de Fuerteventura.

With the goal of completing this important project to improve a symbolic scene for Fuerteventura, it was approved to extend the deadline for its execution, which provides its completion in mid -June.

Capeldo’s president, Lula Garcia, highlighted “the investment of 667392 euros, which will allow this experimental project that will allow the restoration of a traditional agricultural system with value like Valipron’s vicinity. The rehabilitation project seeks to preserve the original state of landscapes in this field, and implement conservation and restoration procedures.”

For its part, the Minister of Tourism, Marilyn Vigurata, stressed the active cooperation and participation of neighbors to achieve this project, “which was essential to have a positive and durable impact.”

Various works include the elimination of straw, backstock recovery, land settlement, gavias plowing, brackets implementation, road cleaning, wall lining, and bloc wells seen with place stones and rehabilitation of stone chains.

Marilyn Vigagaroa remembers that the PSTD plan is “strong in nature” that includes various measures throughout the island and has a total budget of more than 9.1 million euros, funded with European funds for the next generation, as part of the recovery, transformation and flexibility plan. Some of the procedures promoted by Cabildo de Fuerteventura promoted in coordination with various municipalities to provide procedures for all municipalities, with the aim of having a sustainable and smart tourist destination.
