Cabildo offers free training for drones targeting citizens
The new Ministry of Technologies is organizing courses for facilitating obtaining official certificates
Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the field of new technologies, enhances a free training program for drones that target citizens. The main goal of the project is to train persons involved in responsible and safe use of drones, as well as facilitating obtaining official A1, A2 and STS certificates, which are necessary to operate drones in recreational and professional environments, according to the regulations concluded in Spain and the European Union.
The course was organized in five training sessions, with a total period of 10 hours, and will be held in the afternoon, from 4:00 pm. To 8:00 pm, from May 26 to May 30 in Porto del Rosario, from 2 to 6 June in Moro Jabal from 9 to 13 June in Grand Taragal. The course content combines planning theory and practices to provide comprehensive training. The sessions include issues such as the applicable legal regulations, the operation and maintenance of drones, airline planning, document management and procedures for obtaining a certificate through the use of a digital certificate.
In addition, the basic aspects such as operational safety, various airlines (including urban and restricted areas), the use of drones in professional contexts related to photography, technical inspection, the environment, precision agriculture, and other flourishing sectors.
The Minister of New Technologies, Carmen Alonso, stressed that this initiative is part of the council’s hall with technological and democratic progress for digital knowledge: “From the city hall, we are betting on making technology closer to citizens in a cana and useful in a useful. Done pilot with more equal opportunities in knowledge.”
The project also aims to educate the responsible use of emerging technologies, and to enhance active, critical and trained citizenship to participate in the digital development of Fuerteventura.
This procedure is funded with the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN), annual 2023, within the proposal made by Cabildo in the strategic line 1 “R&D+I”, axis 1.5 “promotion of digital public services”, procedure 4 “digital competencies of citizenship”.
