Central Reserve Police Force Day: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday inspected the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Foundation Day parade in Madhya Pradesh. Shah paid tribute to CRPF’s martyrs before joining the formal parade. The project is part of the 86th Foundation Day celebration of CRPF. CRPF Day is celebrated every year on March 19 as the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel handed over the flag to the army in 1950. The parade will take place on April 17 as part of the expanded ceremony this year. State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the event, an official said. During the British rule, on July 27, 1939, the ‘Crown Representative Police’ was established in Vemuch, which was named after Home Minister Patel on December 28, 1949.
