The municipal executive authority decided to approve the update of the residing operations for the social housing of the municipality of Aveiro, as part of the subsidized rental system, which provides for the re -evaluation of the income conditions by the owner, every three years.

The approved process now includes three main updates:
1. Update the minimum income to 26.13 euros, according to the new value of the Social Support Index (IAS), which was repaired at 522.50 euros to 2025. This procedure also covers 17 tenants from the new municipality who are reflected in the housing competition held in 2024;
2. Review the maximum income, based on the annual laboratory specified under the law;
3. Updating the maximum income in the axis urbanization, modified based on the recently calculated tax values.
In total, 392 rents will be updated, taking into account the current social and economic situation of the CMA groups.
Regarding the average monthly income of CMA (made by all tenants), we have 30 % growth from 2022 to 2025 (approximately 300 euros).
This procedure, which applies every 3 years, aims to ensure a greater amount of shares and sufficiency between residential conditions and the economic reality of citizens, according to the legislation and the applicable municipal organization.
