Today, one of the strategic projects in the water infrastructure in Jordan, Amman and Sarka, a plan to bring Halavia water to improve water supply, was launched by the US government, the water and irrigation minister. This main scheme is aimed at improving national water supply and expanding its ability to meet the increasing demand, especially in the governors of Amman and Sarka, an investment of $ 50 million.
Minister Abu al -Za’at thanked the US government for the generous and continuous support for the water sector in Jordan, emphasizing the importance of strategic investment in this field: (This project is not only a group of wells, but also a clear proof of the strong dedication of the international economy, with the new economy.
For his part, the US embassy’s charge de, Mr. Rohit Nepal, with the US government’s firm commitment to partnership with Jordan, has confirmed to the future, saying, “We will continue to work to reduce water losses, improve the quality of services and improve Jordan’s water safety.”
And Eng. Abu al -Saud said that this project is one of the major projects to improve 30 million cubic meters of water supply annually by rehabilitation and engraving of 25 wells in the Ara al -Hallavas Basin, and to protect the water shortage, provide additional water, and to protect more water, and to protect more water supply of 820 thousand citizens. Engineer Raid Abu al -Saad stressed that the function of these projects would be reflected in the progress of the citizens to ensure that the work was provided in most regions of the kingdom to protect new water resources, to uplift the performance of the supply and operating system and to qualify available water resources.
The project was completed during the eight -month registration period, and the al -Halabat well includes 25 wells rehabilitation, digging and creating and getting more water. These products are sufficient to provide more than 820,000 citizens annually in Amman and Sarka.
The Halabat Water Carrier Project, implemented by the Hussein Atia Contract Company, is a successful pattern of efficient emergency response to the challenges of the water shortage in Jordan, and the international partnership – especially with the US government – with advanced technology, and how to improve infrastructure, to meet the needs of citizens and to improve the national water safety goals.
