In the recently released NATO’s annual report, in the 32 member states of Atlantic Alliance, 22 has already revealed that it has already fulfilled its target of spending 2% in its gross domestic product (GDP).
The top of the Poland, Estonia and Latvia table, followed by the United States and Lithuania. Portugal is one of the most violated countries, including Spain, Belgium, Canada and Italy.
The target should be reviewed on the increase in the NATO summit next month. United States President Donald Trump is pressing for 5% of the new target GDP. Atlantic Alliance Secretary General Mark Route spoke at 3.7%. NATO diplomats believe that it is possible to reach about 3% to 3.5% of commitment.

The NATO’s defined goals are “blind” and the result of “political commitment”, both agree that “really important”. They argue that “we should leave the European social model or leave a false dicotomi that invests more for protection.” And they ended up, “We have to spend more for protection, but we have spent a lot. We are surely spending badly.”
