These children and adolescents can be vaccinated in primary health units (UBS). According to the Primary Health Protection Secretary Ana Louiza Ferrera Rodriguez Caldas, health teams in each region go to the teaching departments to promote vaccine.
After a decrease in an unprecedented decline in the child’s immunity rate, it began in 2016, last year’s Health Ministry announced the improvement of 13 children’s vaccination coverage.
Despite progress, rates are still lower than the targets prescribed by the Federal Government, which range from 90% to 95%. According to Ana Louiza, the idea of mobilization is definitely achieving these goals.
The Ministry has reported that schools are available for parents and guardians to authority or rejection. Health professionals check a child or adolescent vaccine card in the teaching section.
“Immunisers have doubled in the last 10 years. The opportunity to vaccinate the child at the school will be relieved of their parents,” said Mauro Guimaris Junkura, Executive Secretary of the National Council of Municipal Health Secretariats (Konaseemes).
Ana Louiza is not just about immunity, but also during mobilization, and other offers to school community such as mental health education and oral health.
