Yufi’s new robot mowers use smart focus to cut your straw

E15 and E18 are designed to automate one of the most laborious jobs around the home – if you can pay. I have been testing the E15 for the past few weeks before their retail debut today and I was very impressed.

The initial robot mowers need a border wire to tell where they are allowed to cut. But it is time to dig a trench around your lawn, expensive and less than the ideal if you eventually move. It has triggered companies to powder to other methods such as GPS or RTK (real -time kinematics) to navigate. However, Yufi has its computer focus, cutting your lawn with less fuss, its technology calls “visual full self -driving” or VFSD. Yeah, I know. The E15 can cover the lawn up to 800 square meters, and the E18 conquers 1,200 square meters of wide land. As I have done, if you think the difference between the two is the battery size, you will be mistaken-both have a single 4,200 mAh battery, but there is a higher on-board memory in E18 in accordance with the larger map size. Otherwise, they can be adjustable cutting height between a single machine, 25 – 75 mm, a maximum of 18 degrees ascending and mixed GPS / 4G anti -theater system. One of the most partial is that the garage (charging station of the mower) comes with a rain cover, which means that if you come out, the lower worries and the weather will be a little bit severe. This is not necessary because the hardware is rated as IPX6 – it is sufficient to withstand cleaning with the hose.

Setting up the E15 until your lawn is covered with fine, and the grass is not taller than 3.5 inches. My lawn was cut off the hill, the drowning path and a drop of 1.5 meters at one end, which was a problem. However, after it was finished, the E15 made the rest of the space very lightly out and made it look close to the path without going. From there, you are doing everything of the note in the app. You can set the cutting height less than 25 mm or 75 mm and also set the unit’s movement and cutting speed – allowing you to use more energy if you press for time. Additionally, you can schedule the mows and if the device is diagnosed with rain or too wet in the grass, it goes back to the base until things are dry.

One feature I am a big fan is the first machine I encountered, which allows you to set the cutting direction for stripes. It does not mean that I have a problem with the clutter of many robovers, but I have always seen the striped pasture. Even if the unit does not give you the over-the-one-inch-full-fledged stripes you find at the tennis club, you can at least contrast.

The additional advantage of remote control is that if it enters into a problem and if you are not at home, you can activate the remote control mode. You will be able to access the camera feed, but you can trigger screen controls, to navigate from any tricky spots.

It was funny, but I did not notice, but my in -laws did when they visited, how surprisingly quiet the E15. When I was running a hardware to satisfy their curiosity, they blocked the matter around the lawn. This is definitely a perk, especially if you choose to set this subject for a scheduled trim in the morning – it is quiet, even the ants will probably complain.

All in all, I like the package offered by Yufi and it has also maintained some myths about its computer vision system. If I have grips, it’s not really about e-series, usually about this category product. Initially, the robot mowers may not get every square inches of your lawn, especially on your edges, such as some neighboring deep cracks, mine. This means that you have to go there every time with a weedwalker to cut the boundaries of your turf.

I still like nothing more than that can get more control over the initial mapping stage to remove some trial and error. To set some basic expectations, I want for a system to use my phone as a tool to determine the outer edge of a space. Certainly, the hardware still needs to make sure that I can get it, but it saves some busiworks for both of us.
