After a similar measure taken by the National Public Radio (NPR), the PBS went ahead with the US government this Friday to prevent the reduction of federal funds for the public television system of 330 stations.

The PBS depends on the claims of the NPR for his radio network, saying that President Donald Trump is expressing discrimination due to the argument that his authority is being expressed and that the PBS journalistic coverage conservatives are biased.

JW Julius Chen, the lawyer, wrote in the action filed by the US district court in Washington as “the PBS disputed as strong as possible.”

“But regardless of any political differences about the role of public television, our constitution and laws have banned the president to act as a referee of PBS programming content while trying to reduce PBS funds.”

This is the latest in many lawsuits filed by the administration by their decisions through many social communication organizations affected by Trump’s orders.

Lakeland, one of its broadcasters along with PBS, is a PBS writer, serving the north and lower rural areas.

Trump’s order refers to the “existential threat” to the station.

A PBS representative said, “After careful discussion, the PBS has come to the conclusion that legal action is needed to protect the editorial independence of public television and to protect the autonomy of stations associated with the PBS.”

By the beginning of this month, the Trump Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and Federal Agencies were ordered to stop both public media financially.

Only by the CPB, the PBS should receive 5 325 million this year, most of which go directly to individual broadcasters.

22% of earnings come directly from the federal government

He said that most of the program used by the stations, the PBS, which produces 22% of its income directly from the federal government. Sixty percent of the PBS budget is funded by personal broadcasters, and broadcasters collect most of this money through the government.

Trump’s order “has a deeper effects on the PBS’s ability and PBS affiliates, it is to provide a great programming garment to all Americans,” Chen said.

In addition to Trump, the process was said to be other government officials, including educational secretary, Linda Mc Mahon, Treasury secretary Scott Besant and internal security secretary Cristi Noem.

The PBS claims its technology as a backup of the National Wireless Emergency Warning System.

The attack on the NPR and PBS was not the first of the media in the current US government: In March, Trump has ordered the closure of the United States Agency for ‘Media’ Global (USAGM), which has stopped radio voice operations and resigning over 1,300 employees filed against the government.
