At dawn on Tuesday morning, four soldiers who had not been exposed to their identities disappeared, and they were involved in the rescue operation of another military vehicle during the unit’s training.
The US and Lithuania officials are trying to evacuate a swamp in Lithuania in a continuous effort to restore four US soldiers who went missing three days ago.
The soldiers’ armored vehicle has been submerged and the teams have not yet been able to enter or remove.
The US military in Europe and Africa, with cranes, brought a large capacity pump and more than 30 tons of gravel, help to drain the water, dig mud and remove the M88 Hercles from the swamp.
But US forces guarantee that this is a long move.
In a statement, the military surrounding the area “is incredibly humid and swamp, and the 70 -ton vehicle does not support the weight of the equipment needed to retrieve the vehicle.
Four soldiers who were not revealed on Tuesday were not seen on Tuesday while they were in the process of recovering another military vehicle during unit training.
Hercules was discovered on Wednesday, and then the teams were working to remove the vehicle.
Soldiers are part of the 1st Brigade, in the 3rd Infantry Division.
The US Navy’s Divers Group has been sent to the scene, and the Bolakas Armed Forces have offered to help the engineers, additional equipment and 150 people.
“This will be a long and hard rescue operation, but we are totally obliged to bring our soldiers home,” said Major General Curtis Taylor, Commander of the 1st Armored Division.
“I am still incredibly impressed by the discipline, commitment and friendship of this section when they are trying to restore the missing companions.”
Silvestras žukauskas in Pubrad, less than 10 kilometers from the Belarus border, were missing during a training in the public training field.
