Travel in Rajasthan will be green and high! 1100 electric buses run on the streets of 9 cities, Jaipur will receive the biggest prize – LCLCN receives the largest prize of electric buses on the roads of 9 cities of Rajasthan Jaipur

There will soon be a revolutionary change in Rajasthan’s urban transport system. With the joint ventures of the central government and the state government, a total of 1100 electric buses operate on the streets of 9 major cities of the state. This effort is done under the “PM E-Travel Program”, which aims to not only control pollution, but also aims to provide comfort, affordable and clean transport options to travelers.
In fact, the project has been awarded to JCDSL (Jaipur City Transport Services Limited), the co -organization of Rajasthan Roads. In the first phase, 675 electric buses will be distributed in which the capital will receive a maximum of 150 buses. 100-100 buses will be provided to Jodhpur, Bikaner and Udaipur, while 50-50 buses will be issued to Bilwara, Alwar, Ajmar, Kota and Bharatpur.
In the second stage, the state will get 425 additional electric buses. Of these, 300 buses to Jaipur, 50-50 Bikaner and Alwar and 25 will be provided to Jodhpur. In this way, Jaipur will get the new naval of 450 electric buses, which will completely change the public transport system of capital. These buses in Jaipur will be operated from Dodi and Bakrana Depots.
At the same time, State -Art Electric Charging Stations are being built on Dodi and Bakrana Depots, and its construction has been launched by Ricco. Currently, 200 low staircase and midi diesel buses operate from these depots, of which 80 buses will be declared garbage by September 2025. After this, only 120 diesel buses will be stored near Jaipur.
But under the new scheme, there will be a large navy in Jaipur, including 120 diesel, 300 CNG and 450 electric buses. This change will improve not only the environment but also the urban transport system. At a recent visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Bajan Lal Sharma had requested 600 additional buses from the union urban ministry to promote 425 buses.
Buses will start operations in 6 months
According to JCDSL leader Rajesh Yadav, the contract for electric buses has been completed and a bank warranty has been submitted. These buses will start operating in the next 6 months. One special thing is that only one company operates these buses in the entire state. These buses can operate up to 180 kilometers for full fare, so they can also be used in intercity routes.
The smooth process for CNG buses has been completed and is in the final stage of acceptance. This project is a historical step to provide Rajasthan a green, durable and future public transport system. Not only does it benefit millions of travelers, the government can join the leading states in the direction of pollution -free India.
