Oliveira De Azeméis / Energy Energy: “Renewable Energy Community” in UL Wow
Indaqua installed a “renewable energy community” at the ATAR in UL, UL Velevira de Azimis, which is already nourishing seven custom infrastructure, mainly for the sewage area.
In 2024, it produced nearly 200 solar panels that were installed for about eight months, revealing the franchise company for the water network and sanitation management.
In 2021, UL WWTP received the first 63 solar panels to produce energy only for self -consumption. Four years later, Indaqua Oliveira de azeméis has made energy efficiency to three times the number of these structures, which climb to 195.
“The growth in the energy production capacity has led to a renewed ambition: the establishment of a energy community, currently operating and has the first results that have been calculated,” the company reveals in a statement.
In 2024, UL WWTP produced the equivalent of energy consumption of 24 housing (78.85 megawatts). From this folder, 45 % was used to supply six other structures of Indaqua Oliveira DE Azeméis (five sewage pumping stations and one warehouse), which works for nearly four months and 14 days using solar energy. The remaining 55 % is used in UL WWTP self -consumption, ensuring the operation of renewable energy for three months and 18 days.
