The success of Fuerteventura 2025 Geology with the participation of sixty people

A total of sixty people participated in the end of this week in the activities of Geolodía FuerteveNtura 2025. Scientific publishing day was developed through a directed geological path that allows participants to know what was the mitigator of the island of Majorera 23 million years ago, to analyze the visual residue offered by the corrosion.

The Minister of Environment at Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Carlos Rodriguez, has highlighted this day’s success, “a unique opportunity to deal with the natural heritage of Fuerteventura”.

Participants toured a walk in the violence area, with the participation of geologists and geologists Juan Miguel Torres, Maria Canderaia Martin, Margareta Gambarina and Ramon Casillas. During the trip, experts helped explain the properties of rock materials in a useful approach that seeks to make geology closer to the general public.

This initiative is coordinated by the Geological Society in Spain (SGE), and it has the cooperation of the Spanish League for Earth Sciences Teaching (AEPT), as well as the Geological and Mining Institute in Spain (IGME-CSIC), the Spanish Association of Geological and Geological Association (AGGP).

In the case of Fuerteventura 2025 Geology, the Ministry of Environment, Hunting and Ring Economy at Cabildo de Fuerteventura, from the Department of Animal Biology, and Geological Pathology of La Laguna University and the cultural “Telesforo Bravo” of the Culture Car and the University Award for La Laguna University. The Geology and Mining Institute in Spain, the Ministry of Science and Innovation and Universities, and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, sponsors this activity at the country level, and is partially funding the activity.
