Those who survived the deadly attack with Russian missiles and treated them were talking about horror before what happened in Sumi in the northeast of Ukraine last week.
On Sunday morning, a series of missile attacks killed 35 people and injured more than 100, becoming the worst Russian civil attack in Ukraine this year.
“I can’t understand these people, people who send these missiles,” said Olexander Jaishev, the interim director of the local hospital intensive care unit.
“In the 21st century, there are people who want to kill others. I’m shocked.”
The attack on Sumi, a city of 30 kilometers from the Russian border, has raised criticism from all over the world, and the new German Chancellor Breedrig Mers categorized the law as “severe war crimes.”
“I do not want to think about this as a new kind of reality for Sumi. We can clearly see that our pre -row cities are destroyed,” the city’s emergency spokesman Ole Strilka said, next to the collapse of a university building, the second missile fell.
“The most painful thing for me is that the impact on children. Why should they suffer?” He asks. “I don’t want our 13 -year -old children to become heroes.”
Marna Illiyashenko and her 13 -year -old son, Kairilo, were injured in the attack and traveled as a bus to see the teenager’s grandmother.
The second missile fell near the vehicle and killed the driver. This small piece tore down the scalp of Cyrilo and opened the cuts on Marnna’s face.
The two tried to open the bus door inside, but it was triggered.
“Then, as I thought what to do next, I looked up and my son was already jumping and opening the door outside.”
“He opened it. People were lying in front of me. He helped me get up and let me out first. He was very frightened because my face was covered with blood,” he continued.
Another Ukrainian Hennedy Smolrov, who was injured in the attack, was traveling as a bus when the attack took place.
“I was through the window. I was attacked by a blow,” he said.
The attack on Sumi, a population of about 250,000 before the war, occurred a week after the Ukrainian city of Giri Rihil, a week after the Russian missile attack, was killed.
Russia suggested that a soldiers meeting with the target Summy, but there was no evidence that supports this report.
