Supreme Court judge: The government on Thursday approved the recommendation of the three Supreme Court judges of the Supreme Court meeting at the Supreme Court. Guwahati High Court Chief Justice Vijay Bishnoi and Bombay High Court Judge Chandurga.
Union Minister Arjun Ram Mahekwal said that the President had approved the promotion of these judges in the Supreme Court after consulting the Chief Justice of India.
The recommendation was made at a meeting held on May 26, 2025, the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of India PR Kawai.

Judge Envi Anjaria
Judge NV Anjaria, who started his legal career in the Gujarat High Court in August 1988, was appointed Additional Judge on November 21, 2011 and became a permanent judge on September 6, 2013. He was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court on 25 February 2024.
Justice Vijay Bishnoi
Judge Vijay Bishnoi, who was nominated as a lawyer on July 8, 1989, argued at the Rajasthan High Court and the Central Administrative Tribunal in Jodhpur. He was appointed Additional Judge of the Rajasthan High Court on January 8, 2013 and became a permanent judge on 7 January 2015. On February 5, 2024, he took over as the Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court.
Justice as Chandurga
Justice as Chandur began his legal life in Mumbai in July 1988, and in 1992 he shifted his practice to Nagpur. He was appointed Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court on 21 June 2013.
