Officials of the Olomok region of the Czech Republic declared an emergency a month later, which caused a train to be appointed as the largest benzene pollution in the world.
Czech officials announced an emergency near Hostofia Nat Benvo in the Berov region as the toxin spread following the train accident on February 28.
Olomok Governor Ladylav Oklestic Emergency announced after the toxic substance was completely polluted. According to him, the order is necessary to allow contaminated soil and water quickly.
“We have unanimously agreed to declare the state of emergency from 12:00 in the Olomok region,” said Oklestk.
Emergency status provides special powers to the administration of the Enforcement County. Local employees have the right to allow the labor duties to be made to make decisions on work assistance or to provide material resources to deal with the crisis.
The municipality may immediately make construction and outdoor arrangements, or prevent the entry, permanent and circulation of the people until the crisis is observed in a particular location or area or crisis.
Environment Minister Petr Halatik said the situation was deteriorating at the scene of the accident and that emergency measures need to be taken within a few hours. He emphasized the need to immediately resolve the emergency to protect the drinking water resources within the first few hours of the first well of the water -affected water.
Benzine extraction work is already underway from water sources. Professors were in charge of digging dozens of solutions between the railway and the lake. Larsen walls are also installed at a depth of seven meters to avoid the spread of benzene.
“I do not want to speak on behalf of the Larsen wall, and do not give false information, but I am informed that it is being built 25 to 30 meters a day, so they do a great job,” said Radek Purirenek, a spokesman for the OUC regional fire department.
“Larsen walls are definitely helping to reduce the concentration of benzene’s concentration that is pushed to the lake through the rocky bed,” he said.
“In this first phase, at least 210 meters of lason walls are built, and high larsen walls have the potential.
A month after the material derailed at the entrance of the Hastopie station, the emergency appears, the authorities suspect that this is due to the high speed.
Most of the 17 carts were immediately crashed. About 350 tonnes of benzene was leaked from the cycaster truck carrying 1,020 tonnes, most of which were for groundwater.
The damage expected by the Benzeno-Skolar truck is expected to be around billions of Czech crowns (40.1 million euros), Oklestke said. The Emergency Order is valid for a month until April 27.
