The Netherlands asks UE-Israel to revise the business agreement

Due to the war against Hamas in Gaza, the Netherlands is increasing the pressure on Israel, in which Israel’s most loyal allies appear to be a significant change.
Waterland Foreign Minister Kaspar Weldgamp on Wednesday said that the blockade of Israel’s humanitarian assistance is violating international humanitarian law and appealing to Brussels’s joint action to review the EU and the Israeli trade agreement.
“What we are doing here is a very clear identity,” said at a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers and Ministers in Warsaw Wars.
“The condition of the Gaza strip is disaster, this is a disaster humanitarian situation,” he added.
Prior to the meeting, Weldgamp had written a letter to EU diplomatic leader Gaja Kallas, who asked the UE-Israeli trade agreement to violate the Israeli Sangam Agreement.
However, the proposal of the Netherlands will be analyzed when EU Foreign Ministers meet in Brussels on May 20.
Kallas said other answers to Israeli projects would be “discussed” to expand the war in Gaza.
In the letter of approach to Euronevs, “Israel’s continued siege for humanitarian aid and power supply to the Gaza region is” contrary to the temporary proceedings of the International Court of Justice. “
In the Weldgamp mass, “I would like to claim Israel’s 2nd Section 2 of the first possible opportunity.”
Section 2 of the Association Agreement is stipulated that the bilateral relations between the EU and the Israeli are “respect for human rights and democratic policies”.
Weltcamp also says that the Gaza Assistant Distribution Control System provided by Israel does not respect the humanitarian policies of “neutrality, sides and freedom”.
The Dutch government wants to veto any extension of the contract while waiting for the EU analysis to comply with Israel’s agreement in 2000.
The European Union is Israel’s largest business partner, and the Netherlands have already guided initiatives to prevent debates on the suspension of the association agreement.
This is one of the strongest words of the government, the highlight of its alleged allegation that Israel has been accused of violating international law.
The pressure of humanitarian systems
The Netherlands government is aimed at increasing the pressure of international humanitarian aid agencies to take a strong stance against Israeli violence in Gaza.
Last month, Prime Minister Dick Shouf Axbam Novib, Amnesty International, Box, Children and Doctors, without the boundaries, expressed their disappointment as a result of conversation.
“The government has no red line. They believe that diplomatic pressure can do more,” said Michael Sarvas, director of Oxfam Novi.
This Thursday, Shouf expressed his support for Weldkamp’s statements that reflected the government’s policy. According to the Dutch Prime Minister, Israel’s announcement of expanding its functions in Gaza and controlling the entire path may be a factor that contributed to the writing of Weldkampin Kallas.
However, this move is not exempt from internal criticism. The main coalition partner and winner of the last national elections, the PVV radical right -wing party, criticized the Weltkambam in Excise, called him “weak minister”.
Other foreign ministers in Warsaw echoed the words of Weldgamb.
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxim Brev said, “It is time for the European Union and the entire international community to wake up. Honestly, we are a complete shame. This is unacceptable.”
Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Pethel has spent a lot of time in the region in recent months, but he has appealed to Israel to show control.
“I feel that they are not asking anyone. I have pressures, Hamas is pressed and still hostages. But we have to be around the table to see how we can find solutions,” Pethel told reporters.
“We have to find a solution. The Palestinians should not give the idea that they will no longer be at the end of the day,” he added.
On October 7, 2023, when the Hamas militants attacked the South Israel, the war between Israel and Hamas began, and about 1,200 people were killed mostly civilians. Hamas is currently taking over 251 people as a hostage and maintaining 59, believed to be alive.
The Israeli attack is 52,400 Palestinians, mostly killed up to women and children, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, which is administered by Hamas, and its number does not differ between militants and civilians.
The Israeli military claims that its 850 soldiers have died since the beginning of the war.
