A new study reveals dangerous data on trafficking in Latvia, Austria and Greece.
Latvia was classified as a large number of reckless EU drivers, recording the higher the road mortality rate of 75 deaths for one million people and the use of dangerous mobile phone usage while driving.

Data was collected from the electronic investigation of the European Commission’s official statistics and the VIA Institute’s road users (ESRA) approaches.
Finnish drivers have also expressed some anxious behaviors, more than 40% to talk to mobile phones while driving – the highest rate among respondents. In Luxembourg, nearly four of the 10 drivers agree to driving after drinking alcohol.

On the other hand, Sweden has the lowest road mortality rate in Europe, with only 22 deaths for one million people – which is considerably than the European average.
What is the opinion of the European Commission?
Despite these results, the European Commission announced a 3% annual fall in the EU road deaths by 2024, reflecting 600 lost lives across the volume.
However, the Commission considers that this decline is not adequate.
“The global speed of progress is very slow, and most member states are not in a good way to achieve the EU goal of half the number of road deaths by 2030,” the statement published on March 18 says.
According to the Commission, rural roads are constantly at risk, which has 52% of deaths.
Most men represent most road deaths (77%), elderly (65+) and young people (18-24) are particularly vulnerable road users.
