Shinbam opened the 2025 Mexican Aerospace Exhibition

President Claudia Shinbam inaugurated the Mexican Space Exhibition on Tuesday, the sixth version of a major event, aimed at promoting trade, investment and employment in Mexico’s emerging space industry.
The exhibition, which will be held on the Military Air Base No. 1 this year in Santa Lucia, Mexico, is considered the most important aeronautical security and safety event in Mexico, which runs until April 26.
Participating in the 2025 space exhibition 337 companies, 48 countries, 20 Air Force, 10 Mexican States, 18 Municipalities, 12 Universities and Six Space Systems. The site has 67 domestic aircraft and six United States Air Force warplanes.
During his speech, Shinebam pointed out that the Mexican space industry is more than $ 11.2 billion and is capable of reaching $ 22.7 billion in 2029.
“Mexico is one of the top five countries for foreign investment in the space industry and is the twelfth largest exporter of space elements worldwide,” the president said.
At the end of 2024, 386 manufacturing companies in this sector are operating in 19 states in Mexico, he added. Currently, Mexico runs 370 special plants that create a total of 50,000 direct jobs and 190,000 indirect jobs.
Mexican Space Fair Group Chairman, Dysreley Gomez Herrera, stressed that the annual event is part of the annual event Mexico project .
Querétaro Bajio in the region and Baja California States that attracted the largest foreign direct investment (FTI) in the field of space have concentrated 24.3% and 20.1% respectively.
Okshaka, one of the states that participate in the exhibition, announced that it would present vocational training programs in the eight regions of the state, as well as promoting the development of Istmas on the Tehuwandebec International sidewalk (CIIT).
Finally, Gomez added that the Jump team of the Mexican Army’s “Kereroos águila” (Eagle Warriors) will show its first official appearance in the exhibition.
