Russia proposes a second round of conversations to find a way to end its invasion from Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has announced that Kremlin is ready to end new talks with Kie in Istanbul on June 2.
The main Russian diplomat has said that the Moscow war has prepared a list of issues that are essential to the war. Lavrov says Russia has come up with ways to deal with the “deeper reasons of the crisis” in the relevant memo.
“The Russian side, as acknowledged, immediately described a relevant note, which defines our position to all aspects of the crisis (with Ukraine).”
“Our delegation, led by Vladimir Medinski, is ready to present this note to the Ukrainian Ambassador, and to provide the necessary explanations for the next Monday, June 2, during direct negotiations in Istanbul,” he said.
The announcement was made following a two -day visit to Moscow during a two -day visit to Moscow, after Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidin Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin were investigating the way to improve his country.
Lavrov expressed his gratitude to Fidan and Turkey and thanked them for providing a site for the negotiations.
“I would like to express my gratitude to our Turkish allies again for providing a hostess and Turkish site.”
Lavrov also used the opportunity to respond to countries who accused Russia not to take peace.
“We hope that all those interested in the success of the peace process will support the new round of the Russian-ended direct negotiations in Istanbul,” he said.
Donald Trump sends contradictory signs of current peace efforts
Speaking to journalists in the Oval room, Trump said that the two parties were “very disappointed” with the decision of Russian President Vladmir Putin to intensify the attacks on Ukraine while negotiating the end of the war.
“I can say that I am very disappointed with what happened on a few nights. When people were killed in the middle of the so -called negotiation, I am disappointed and very disappointed,” Trump said.
However, he said he was postponing the use of new sanctions to Russia because he did not want to intervene in efforts to negotiate peace.
“If I think I am close to getting a contract, I don’t want to spoil everything by doing it,” Trump told journalists in the Oval room. “I tell you that I am much harder than the people they speak. But you need to know when to use this weapon. If I think it will affect a contract.”
The US president added that it is clear whether Russia is asking for it or not. Trump has warned that Russia is not honest in the desire to end the war, and the change in the Moscow approach in Washington is instantly.
