Russia and Ukraine exchanged hundreds of war prisoners

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 175 war prisoners on Wednesday, one of the largest exchanges since the launch of a large -scale invasion on Ukraine through Russia three years ago.

The liberated Ukrainian army has been captured in various regions including Maryubol, Azovstal, Donetsk, Luhansk, Gerson, Karkiv, Micoliv, Japorgia, Sumi and Russia’s Kursk.

After being released on the northern border of the two countries, the prisoners were taken to a hospital in Ukraine’s Sernihivi, where family members waited for their arrival.

The Ukrainian leader said that all the war prisoners and the seized civilian liberation would be an important step for peace and could create confidence between the two countries. Jelensky has repeatedly appealed to the prisoners “everyone”.
